A while ago I received a Mr. Beer Kit as a gift but I waited until the winter to give it a try because the summer temperatures in El Paso can be quite drastic. I am brewing the Blonde Ale extract that came with the kit. It has been sitting in the fermenter for almost two weeks now at a temperature of about 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit. I have the fermenter in a cooler to keep my dog and the dust from getting into it. In about another week I will bottle up the beer and start the carbonation and conditioning process. With a little luck and patience, I should have 2 gallons of drinkable beer in about 4-5 weeks.

This is the kit I got.

Sterilizing everthing that will come in contact with the wort.

Heating the extract to facilitate pouring.

Booster disolved in spring water. I'm using spring water from Walmart.

Finished wort. Smells funky and it tastes sweet.

The wort inside the fermenter.

This comes with the extract.

The little fermenter will live inside this cooler for a while.
